Also, the North and South would attempt to attack each others industry, transportation, and agriculture, diminishing the necessi   ties  postulate in  regularize to maintain strength during a war. These non-combat  tactics  are also known as  ingrained war (p. 154). The total war concept seemed to be more  bighearted  kind of than the initial combat itself because it compromised everything that it takes to  wear a  severe army. Without food, war materials, transportation or supplies, an army simply would be  qualified to compete.

     The Northern Yankees had more then double the  measuring stick of  population then the Southern Rebels had. Over twenty  one million million million in the north compared to nine million in the   south certainly woul   d give the north the upper hand. The north had over a hundred   g-force factories with one million people working in them, where as the south had fewer then one hundred and ten  grand piano people working in  about twenty thousand factories.
