In the Greek tragedy, Antigone, the character of Creon fails in what he sets by to do and encounters un gaiety, ruin, and counterbalance death because of it. The play opens with Creon, the king of Thebes, denying Polynices his gruelling to a proper burial. When Polynices sister, Antigone, hears of this she decides to drop her comrade, despite the consequences and Creon sentences her to death. Live, if you will;/ Live, and defy the holiest laws of heaven. Antigone strongly believes in the laws of God; she even risks her life to please the Gods by defying her uncle and burying her brother. While Antigone is attempt to warn Creon that his decision will anger the Gods, he misinterprets her score and believes that she is after his throne, But, as I live,/ She shall not flout my orders with impunity.
